The interior of the property is instantly welcoming and the rooms are spacious. The lounge and dining area has a plasma TV with Freeview, DVD and CD players and comfortable seating for six. The dining area is bathed in natural light and comfortably seats six at the designer chairs and glass table. The kitchen is fully equipped with electric oven, gas hob, dishwasher, washer drier, fridge freezer with chilled water dispenser, coffee maker, microwave oven and full inventory of kitchen and dining crockery and utensils and plenty of space in which to prep! Leading off the kitchen is the patio area with seating for six to dine al fresco and a barbecue for your use.
On the first floor you will find the master bedroom which has plenty of cupboard space. The bunkroom has a sunny aspect and houses full sized single bunk beds again with plenty of cupboard space. On this floor is the family bathroom which is very spacious with walk-in shower, bath, toilet and basin. Just next door a single toilet completes the first floor facilities.
The final flight of stairs leads up to the piece de resistance of Chesil View House - bright, light and airy this twin bedded room enjoys unparalleled views to Chesil Beach, Lyme Bay and Verne Hill. There is a Juliet balcony with lockable double doors and for this reason children must be supervised at all times on this floor.
Fortuneswell covers quite a large area, really from the Heights Hotel at the top of the island with its amazing views along Chesil Beach to the bottom of the hill where it blends into Chiswell. As you descend from the Heights you will see a statue by artist and sculptor Joanna Szuwalska title "The Spirit of Portland". Once again the walking from Fortuneswell is good but do remember you are on a slope so even if the walking is easy on the way down remember the walk back! Chesil Beach is easily accessable from Fortuneswell, but turning up the hill gives you many different options for some interesting walks to the top of the island.
